The challenge
As part of a new automation project, a semi-automated manipulator for door assembly had to be designed and subsequently installed in the production line.
However, there were not enough internal specialists available for installation and commissioning. This created a risk of project delays and of missing the planned production start.
In addition, usability, process reliability and documentation had to meet the end customer’s requirements.
Our solution
We provided full technical support on site and supplied experienced specialists for the manipulator’s mechanical and electrical installation.
In addition to commissioning, we carried out the required PLC programming and supported the preparation of the technical documentation. We also implemented targeted improvements to individual components to deliver lasting gains in performance, stability and ease of use.
Practical training for maintenance and operating personnel ensured the manipulator could be used safely and efficiently in series production.
