The challenge
Developing the gripper required precise adaptation to the specific geometry, weight and surface characteristics of the new injection-moulded parts. At the same time, the solution had to integrate seamlessly into the existing automation architecture, including established interfaces, motion sequences and safety requirements.
In addition to safe, accurate part removal, the key priorities were short cycle times, high repeatability and consistently reliable operation in series production. The goal was to implement a solution that performs reliably while extending the production process without additional downtime.
Our solution
We developed a customer-specific gripper precisely tailored to the geometry and weight of the injection-moulded parts, allowing seamless integration into the existing automation system.
The design ensures reliable part removal, short cycle times and high repeatability in series production. In addition to the development work, we handled manufacturing, assembly, installation and commissioning directly on the machine, including functional testing and fine-tuning within the production process.
